So true! As I get older, I see my middle aged children start to exhibit uncomfortable traits that are/were certainly recessive: she now acts and speaks snark like her grandmother! (Not MY mother!) She even uses the same words, tho they are subconsciously brought to the conversation. "I'm particular!" Whaaat??! I've recessed into solitude so much that it's uncomfortable to be around a group (well, that, and I can't hear anyone over the din of a dining room!) I try to recess from the doom scrolls that take up precious time, for awhile. I might try to write some more about recess(ion) if I can remember after shutting this down and going about my day. Oh, that's another recession-- sounds good at the time, but there are things to do--don't want to dig too deep, as there are beans and tomatoes to pick, both recessed into the lushness of leafy protection. Don't pick (at?) anything that I can't process today. You are amazing, Trish! Keep up the great work of tickling us with intrigue! From your blue-eyed, once-blonde, thin-boned, loving friend!

Awwww, thanks Nancy, I feared my recesses might be a little too weird but you saved the day. Here’s to keeping the recessed lighting on, Trish

Tish- I appreciate this thought-building process. Especially on the recessive v. dominant question. Hope you’re well this week? Cheers, -Thalia

Thanks for reading and commenting Thalia. The process is unwieldly but it works, Trish
